Raising Up An Alliance of Discerning Luminaries's (R.A.D.L.)

The "Discerning Treatment Program" is a faith based program that will offer solutions, and coping skills necessary to deal with life threatening problems and live a life free from mood altering chemicals. Our program is designed to enhance our student's ability to know the environment, know themselves, and know how to make the right decisions. We believe that our program can cause our students to feel sure of themselves and eliminate negative attitudes and thoughts into something extraordinary and well. We offer them the training to learn from past mistakes and or choices which may or may not have led them down destructive paths.

In our counseling sessions we require full participation in group discussions, and our one on one counseling sessions are very essential in conquering fear and vulnerability to alcohol and drugs. We want to give out students the confidence that if they can see it, they can achieve it through faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We want to focus on the "whole individual". Especially those that really want help. Our students will be able to identify the effects of alcohol and drugs on the body, in the individual's mind, and with his/her family. We understand that alcohol and drugs sometimes makes a person feel grown up, it causes them to take uncalculated risk and rebel against authority. Sometimes kids want to "Belong" to the "In Crowd" not knowing the destructive path they're taking.

R.A.D.L. will focus on identifying crimes and punishments. Our students will be educated on definitions of the most common crimes and their punishments. We want them to understand if they commit the crime, they will know the consequences that follow. Ignorance of the Law is no excuse and we feel that more people need to be education on crimes and punishments. In most cases the crimes could have easily been avoided if the person had discerned the situation and had made a better decision. Because they didn't discern and make that positive decision, they had to suffer the consequences of probation, jail time, or death. R.A.D.L. believes that God truly needs to be in the individual's life in order to understand how to make positive decisions. We believe that it's not enough to "just say no" but to say no in the name of Jesus. For every circumstance or problem that faces our students, God is the answer and we have His Word to prove it. We will teach our students about the attributes of God, His Word, and His Holy Spirit. We will discuss God in His Fatherhood, Jesus in His role of salvation and the Holy Spirit in His teaching and guidance. R.A.D.L. will encourage our students to be very effective in the community as well as within themselves so they may enlighten others on the pressures of everyday life and help them make positive decisions. Together we will raise up a generation of discerning leasers that will make a tremendous impact in our community, in our schools, in or churches, in our state, and in our nation.
