Let's Make A Positive Difference In Some Child's Life!
At RADL, we are committed to helping every student not only succeed academically but also thrive as productive members of society. One of the key ways we achieve this is by assisting students who are of working age to find meaningful employment. Our goal is to guide them toward careers that foster responsibility, self-confidence, and long-term stability.
Any student who expresses a desire to work will receive full support from our program, provided that they remain active participants in RADL’s services and community initiatives. We believe that success in employment must be paired with accountability. To this end, students are expected to maintain positive monthly evaluations from teachers, parents, probation officers, or parole officers when applicable.
A willing and positive attitude is essential. Students must demonstrate both the mindset and readiness to work. For those under probation or parole, compliance with all legal requirements—including payment of restitution or associated fees—is a critical part of showing personal responsibility.
RADL staff will also take an active role in assisting students with job placement. This includes:
When reaching out to employers, our staff will highlight the student’s positive contributions to the community, building on their volunteer record as a testament to their reliability and character.
Employment readiness is not just about finding a job—it’s about building the right habits and values. That is why RADL requires each student to engage in volunteer service as part of their personal growth journey. These activities are designed to nurture empathy, responsibility, and a sense of belonging within the community.
Examples of student-led volunteer initiatives include:
These opportunities teach our students that they are valuable contributors to society. They also provide a foundation of respect and service that employers recognize and appreciate.
RADL is not just about helping students land their first job—it’s about preparing them for a lifetime of achievement. Our vision is to mainstream students into society as model citizens who:
We believe this transformation is possible when students are given the right tools, encouragement, and guidance.
To create stronger pathways for career development, RADL seeks to partner with local contractors, plumbers, landscapers, and other independent tradespeople. These partnerships would provide students with valuable opportunities to learn a skill or trade through hands-on teaching.
By exposing young people to skilled labor and entrepreneurship, we are offering them more than just a job—we are offering them a chance to discover lifelong careers. This practical experience is essential in a world where the demand for reliable tradespeople is increasing.
These partnerships not only benefit the students but also strengthen local industries by cultivating a new generation of skilled workers.
At the heart of our mission is the belief that every student has the potential to choose a brighter future. Too often, young people in our communities are tempted to pursue quick money through negative paths such as drug dealing or crime. RADL seeks to change this mindset by showing them that earning an honest living brings dignity, security, and respect.
We teach our students that working hard to earn their way is far more rewarding than cheating their way. Through mentoring, employment opportunities, and community service, we help them internalize the values of discipline, honesty, and perseverance.
The success of RADL’s employment initiative is not just measured by the number of jobs students obtain—it is measured by the transformation in their character, outlook, and contributions to society.
When a young person learns to:
—they begin to see themselves as more than just individuals trying to survive. They begin to see themselves as part of something larger: a community that values them, needs them, and benefits from their growth.
This shift is powerful. It changes not only the life of the student but also the lives of their families, neighborhoods, and future generations.
At the end of the day, RADL’s mission can be summed up in one simple truth:
Our students matter.
We are determined to demonstrate through our actions, programs, and partnerships that every young person has value, potential, and a place in society. Through employment, service, and mentorship, we will continue to show our students that they really do matter—and that their future is worth fighting for.
