 Raising Up an Alliance of Discerning Luminaries (RADL) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Minister Eddie Ray Jackson. Our mission is to save and revive our youth while revitalizing communities in Adams County, Mississippi, and Concordia Parish, Louisiana—areas facing high rates of crime and poverty. We are dedicated to restoring hope and opportunity to residents throughout the Delta Region.     

Originally known as The Giving Hand, the organization began as a volunteer-driven effort to promote social and charitable activities in the Miss-Lou area. Over time, our name, business model, and daily operations evolved to focus on securing capital and resources for comprehensive youth development programs. Today, RADL is committed to providing criminal awareness education, fostering positive activities, and building strong community connections to break the cycle of crime and  hopelessness.

Raising an Alliance of Discerning Leaders (RADL) is a ministry initiative designed to enhance physical wellness, promote crime awareness, and address the negative environments and influences that can lead individuals toward criminal activity, conviction, and incarceration.

Our mission extends beyond awareness. We aim to coordinate and implement outreach programs across the Mississippi–Louisiana (MS–LA) area that demonstrate God’s love in action. Our work seeks to glorify God by uniting communities and addressing urgent needs—feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, sheltering the homeless, clothing those in need, and visiting the sick and imprisoned.

Community Impact and Programs
RADL brings together dedicated volunteers to tackle pressing local challenges, including:

• Youth Recreation: Offering safe, structured activities that foster positive social connections.
   
• Substance Abuse Prevention: Educating youth and families about the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
   
• Teenage Pregnancy Prevention: Providing guidance, mentorship, and resources for healthy decision-making.
   
• Youth Unemployment: Creating opportunities for skill development and job readiness.
   

Additional Services Include:

• Providing groceries and basic necessities to families in need.
   
• Offering practical help to the elderly and physically challenged, such as grass cutting and leaf raking.
   
• Awarding scholarships to high school seniors within our organization who want to pursue higher education but face financial barriers.
   
• Running a mentorship and tutoring program for grade-school children to strengthen their academic skills and personal growth, along with opportunities to attend sporting events like football and basketball games.
   

Through these efforts, RADL strives to build stronger, healthier communities—offering hope, resources, and a positive path forward for youth, families, and residents in the Delta Region.
